The US Commerce Department declared the imposition of final anti-dumping duties and countervailing measures on common alloy aluminum sheets from 18 countries, ranging from 242.8% on imports from Germany to 4.83% on imports from Bahrain.

Other countries subjected to the measures are; Brazil, Croatia, Egypt, Greece, India, Indonesia, Italy, Oman, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, and Turkey.

The anti-dumping and anti-subsidies investigations were initiated in March 2020.

The department said that subjected countries were “dumping” Aluminium sheets in the United States at prices below fair value, causing by such injury to the US industry.

The tariffs will be added to the 10% tariffs applied on most aluminum imports already levied under the national security law.
